This weekend I met up with a few ladies for a thrift tweetup. Porsha, Erin, Sandra and their friend Callie from Austin, TX. I took them to a couple of thrift spots I frequent.
I loved these little ceramic pooches. Spray painted white...cute cute cute. Sandra why didn't you buy the book? **update: Sandra bought the book for .50**
The thing about coming to places like this is there is rarely two of anything. Leaves you wondering.... What happened to the other one? Was there ever another one? The mirror, gorgeous but far too damaged to live with.
We caravan to the top secret location nearby...........
from left to right Porsha, Erin, Dallas Mayor Dwayne Carroway, Sandra, Me, Momma CMV, and Callie
Get there and it's not open...as normal. Being the resourceful person that I am. I make calls...'cause see I know peoples. Really, I know folks :)
How did we get a picture with the Mayor? Well........long story and it doesn't add anything extra to this post.....well ok I had a call in to the Mayor via his assistant to find Ms. Rosie...and she finally gets there and
I warned them there was tons and tons of stuff to look at but something tells me they didn't really believe me.
I'm thinking this was a little overwhelming for them...just a little.
Cool clock.
Erin what is that you're holding up? Is that a gold sheep, lamb or something like that?
I know you're wondering when are you really going to get to the good part.....we head down to what I call the dungeon.
I wish I had pictures of the mouths hanging open when she unlocked the doors to the first storage. It's wall-to-wall floor-to-ceiling of furniture......Erin? Sandra? Porsha? Callie? Am I lying?
She said that she hadn't been down here in sometime. Erin and Callie managed to find a couple of things.
Inspection time...... I think their happy with what they found. At this point I think Porsha was a little bored with this rendezvous so it was splitsville for her.
Thanks ladies I had fun. We should do it again and I promise not to be late :) OH and Callie, can I have your Kooba handbag?
Thanks to Ms. Rosie for coming and opening up the shop for us.
